I am currently getting my Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have a 4.0 GPA and have one more year left in my program. I have a B.A. from the University of Rochester with dual degrees of Psychology and Film and Media Studies
Experience
I have several years of tutoring experience for reading, writing, SAT, and English as a second language. I participated in World Teach Ecuador in which I taught English as a second language. I also have a lot of experience as a teaching assistant for various subjects including math, psychology, and english. I have taken a varied background of classes with particular emphasis on writing, reading, and psychology. I want to tutor because I am a strong student and I love teaching and connecting with other people. I have a lot of experience working with adolescents and I connect well with them. I realize that each student has individual needs and I am able to tailor myself to those needs. Building rapport with students and attending to their interests is a critical component of a successful tutor relationship and something that I work with daily with my clients in therapeutic practice.

My interests include hiking, running, psychology, film, reading and writing. I am a strong writer and also student in my Master's program at Pepperdine. I am outgoing, charismatic, and I connect well with adolescents. I am fun but I am also serious when it comes to getting things done and to making sure that students stay on task.
